A con like no other for Level 30 and up Heroes.

Looking for something fun to do October 30th and 31st 2021 with friends and like-minded fans?

What if you could attend a convention without ever leaving the house? Thanks to modern

technology and the changing social climate, it is now more possible than ever to attend events

online from the comfort of your home. While other major cons had to cancel their in-person

events last year, Social D Con hosted its first ever one-day event online. This year's Social D

Con is spread out over two days during the spookiest time of the year. The best part is that

Social D Con is completely free for attendees!



What is Social D Con?

Social D Con is a virtual cosplay and arts convention designed for the era of social

distancing. It’s welcome to all cosplayers, fans, aspirants, and cosplay lovers that have

made it to life’s level 30 and beyond. Social D Con’s mission is to be a safely connected

community of gold and silver aged participants dedicated to educating, inspiring, and raising

awareness of social/diversity issues, and in providing resources for the expression of art

through cosplay. Social D Con is still relatively new to the events scene. But it already has a lot

to offer cosplayers and those passionate about games and 20th-century media fandom. This

2021 Halloween weekend will showcase a variety of virtual events to participate in, or just for

Levelers (participants and viewers around age 30 and up) everywhere to hang out. To find out

What’s Happening and When

Saturday, October 30, 2021 kicks off the first of the two-day virtual con events on Twitch and

Facebook. Twitch is a streaming platform that can be viewed with or without a free account on

any computer, phone, tablet, smart TV, etc. The official start time of Social D Con is 11 AM

EST/9 AM PST with an opening video created by Psylent_Cosplay. Saturday will have two

different video game tournaments for Tetris and Super Smash Brothers Ultimate. But don’t

worry if you’re more of a board gamer and not a video gamer. You can still meet your tribe on

Saturday, from 3 PM to 4:30 PM EST/12 PM to 1:30 PM PST for the Social D Con Trivia

contest.



The trivia contest is a fun way for Levelers to test their 20th century knowledge in anime, TV,

movies, and pop culture. Saturday afternoon will feature an online panel titled: “Caped

Crusaders – Cosplaying past your Blerdy 30s”. This is where Levelers can join an immersive

discussion on bringing and maintaining cosplay into your “Leveled up” life. This panel was

featured at the recent 2021 Blerdcon, to a packed room!



The Saturday events don’t end after the panel. Levelers can join some night time events too! In

the evening there will be a JackBox TV games event from 6-9PM EST/3-6 PM PST. And there

will be a movie watch party event for the late-night crowd known as “Social D Con Cinema”

starting at 9 PM EST/ 7 PM PST. Don’t worry if you can’t make every event at Social D Con;

jump in when you like, and stay as much as you like. All of these events can be streamed online

from your phone, computer, or tablet in the comfort of your own home. You’re welcome to come

pull up a chair with a snack and watch, or participate in the games and discussions with others!

And Social D Con continues Sunday, on Halloween.

 

Sunday, October 31 2021 at 12 noon EST/10 AM PST is the second and last of the two-day

Social D Con online events. Sunday features two Dungeons and Dragons events, one for

beginners that are interested in learning how to play DnD through the Roll 20 platform, and the

second is for Levelers that want to participate in a short campaign game, or watch the game

played online. The beginner panel starts at 12 PM/10 AM PST and the short DnD campaign

starts at 1 PM EST/11 AM PST.

 

Also on Sunday there will be two panels in the afternoon for live discussion, learning, and

demonstration. The first panel on Sunday at 4-5 PM EST/2-3 PM PST is “Skincare for

Cosplayers in their Blerdy 30s and Beyond”. In this panel attendees can learn how skincare and

makeup can maximize a Leveler’s look both in and out of cosplay. The second panel from 5 to 6

PM EST/ 3 to 4 PM PST features the amazingly brilliant and beautiful crochet cosplayer Yarn

Goddess Cosplay. You may know her from her YouTube series “Tuesday Tea Talks”, or from

her IG page @ygcosplay. Participants can experience this guest panel on the Social D Con

YouTube channel podcast.


Sunday will also have a video and discussion feature on for the Do-It-Yourself cosplayer crowd

in the evening. Then the Social D Con closing ceremony ends this fandom and cosplay fun

packed weekend event from 7 PM to 730pm EST/5 to 5:30 PM PST. By the way, spaced

throughout the two-day Social D Con weekend event will be the Costume Showcase on Twitter

and Instagram. Participants are welcome to submit their cosplay creations to share online, at

Social D Con’s discretion using the hashtag #SDCCostumeShowcase. You’re welcome to follow

A Con Like No other for Lvl 30+ Heroes

Saturday, October 30, 2021 to Sunday, October 31, 2021 will showcase creativity, insight, and

fun for participants and watchers interested in arcade games, trivia, interactive games, cosplay,

and maintaining the Nerdy, Blerdy life from Level 30 and beyond. It’s a con like no other from

morning to night! All events for Social D Con will be broadcast through Twitch streaming and

elsewhere on both days via https://m.twitch.tv/khanofcons.

Levelers are welcome to RSVP to the free weekend event on Facebook. But you don’t have to

wait to get excited and join the fun and fandom. You can join other Levelers at the Social D Con

Discord. You’ll find a community to chat about games, music, cosplay, memes, and more. Social

D Con vol. 2 is coming this 2021 Halloween weekend. It’s bigger than before and free for

Levelers to attend from the comfort of their own home for games, interaction, cosplay, and

more.

Minecraft Dungeons

Minecraft Dungeons Being a fan of dungeon crawlers since the classic Gauntlet Legends, you could imagine my excited when I found out that the creators of Minecraft had created a dungeon crawler within the Minecraft universe.   I first started playing Minecraft in 2020 on my MacBook. Only playing in creation mode, I would tunnel through mountains and caverns, creating my own kind of dungeon crawler experience. Fast forward, 3 years later, my dream comes true when I find out that Minecraft Dungeons was created for RPG gamers like me who wanted a Minecraft game with a Diablo feel. Finding loot, killing zombies and customizing my character build, Minecraft Dungeons gives me all the feels of a classic top/bottom dungeon crawlwr. Black Adam or Whack Adam                After hearing about the below average reviews from both critics and DC fans and the departure Dwayne Johnson from the DCU, I thought it was about time to give the Black Adam movie a shot.  Played by Dwayne Johnson, Black Adam, one of the DC's greatest super villains and arch-nemesis to the super hero Captain Marvel (also known as Shazzam) would get his own movie in 2022.
